The Etang de Thau has an ongoing tradition for oyster and mussel farming, providing the area with a rich source for food and wealth.
It is possible to get on a boat and take a short tour of the oyster and mussel beds, then off to a Restauraunt to feast on the delicious fresh shellfish, straight from the Etang.
The local produce of this area goes hand in hand with the regional wine production.
