Marseillan Plage is two and a half miles from Marseillan town, with a beach that stretches from Cap d'Adge in one direction to Sete in the other, a distance of some sixteen kilometres. This is a hazard free beach with fine golden sands, shallow warm waters where children can play and swim in complete safety. The beach is for sun lovers and those who enjoy the natural environment. It is a friendly seaside resort with dozens of bars and restaurants.
Every Sunday starting early in the morning there is a flea market (marche aux puce) this is a large market and if you look very carefully you will find some of the most amazing bargains.
Between Marseillan Ville and the sea there are several small lagoons where you will see a variety of birds, storks, and beautiful Pink Flamingos. They are usually close to the road, and easily photographed.
